When we look back over the lineage of Frequency, from where we began to where we stand today, there are clear moments in our history when we made pivotal shifts. One of those moments was nearly a decade ago. We were small but ambitious, and we knew we needed strong governance to help shape the business we aspired to become.
(Boxing well above our weight) we asked Dame Fran Wilde if she would join our board. She accepted, on the condition that our values aligned with hers, and that she could see our genuine commitment to living by them.
Almost ten years later, Frequency has grown to a team of 120 people across five offices around Aotearoa, serving clients who are committed to building and strengthening our country’s infrastructure.
A significant part of the foundations of our whare has been our governance, and we are deeply grateful that Fran saw something in us and was willing to take a chance on an emerging business.
It is now South Wairarapa Council’s moment, and with Fran stepping down from the Frequency Board to serve as Mayor, it is our time to support her as she moves into her next chapter.
To the people of South Wairarapa: you are very fortunate to have her as your mayor. And to Fran, on behalf of all of us at Frequency, ngā mihi nui for the wisdom, guidance, and encouragement you have given us over the last decade. We are truly blessed to have had you as part of our journey.
